The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) has announced the listing of the Ivy EasyETFs AI Innovation Actively Managed ETF (AMETF), trading under the ticker IVYAI, on its Main Board. The new product gives South African investors exposure, through a single locally traded security, to a portfolio of international companies positioned in the artificial intelligence (AI) space.
Unlike traditional ETFs that track an index, this fund is actively managed, allowing the portfolio team to continuously adjust holdings in response to evolving market dynamics and technological developments. The strategy spans a wide range of AI-related opportunities, from technology developers to companies leveraging AI to enhance efficiency and operations..
The fund aims to deliver long-term capital growth by investing in global businesses at the forefront of AI innovation. Its positioning reflects the increasing importance of artificial intelligence as a structural investment theme, now seen as a key driver of future growth.
This listing is part of the JSE’s broader strategy to expand its ETF offering and introduce more forward-looking, thematic products to the market.
