Quarter Two Is Here 2026: Its Dividend Season Fill the Dividend Claim  Form Here.

This is Investor Time. This is Maokoto Time.

From March to June, I always call this period “Investor Time.” Why? Because this is when companies share their performance results. Dividends are announced. Investors get paid from their investments. And the DSE market becomes very busy.

We have officially closed Quarter One (Q1) of 2026. This is a very important time, especially for investors.

If you have invested in shares, this is your time to pay attention and take action.

What Happens During This Season?

Many companies listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange start releasing their annual results. They also announce dividends (gawio) for shareholders.

This year, the banking sector is coming in strong.

CRDB Bank reported a net profit of TZS 724.6 billion for 2025. That’s up from TZS 551.5 billion the year before. Their total assets grew 8.6% to reach TZS 22.22 trillion. Last year they paid TZS 65 per share. Expect their AGM announcement between April and May.

NMB Bank also had a record year. Their pre-tax profit rose 20% to TZS 927 billion. After-tax profit grew 19% to TZS 643 billion. Last year they paid TZS 428.85 per share. That was a 19% increase from the previous year. Their AGM is typically held between May and June.

Vodacom Tanzania reported revenue growth of 24% to TZS 905.3 billion. Service revenue increased 23.1%. Their annual results usually come out between June and July since their financial year ends in March.

Tanzania Cigarette Company (TCC) announced a dividend of TZS 818 per share last year. They are among the highest dividend payers on the DSE.

Other companies to watch include Swissport Tanzania, Tanzania Breweries (TBL), Tanga Cement, and DSE PLC itself.

Register to Receive Your Dividend

To receive your dividend, you must make sure you are registered properly.

This is where many shareholders lose money. Your bank details may be outdated. Your contact information may have changed. If the company cannot reach you, your dividend sits unclaimed.

The CSDR (Central Securities Depository and Registry) has a form that helps you:

  • Update your personal details
  • Correct your bank account information
  • Ensure your payments are processed correctly

Here is the link: https://csdr.co.tz/dividend-claim-kyc-update

If you have shares, do not skip this step.

Special Note for CRDB and NMB Investors

Both banks usually provide their own shareholder dividend forms in addition to the CSDR process.

Make sure you also fill those specific forms. Check their investor relations pages or visit their branches. This is very important so you don’t miss your money.

Why This Matters

The DSE market has been very active in 2026. In early March, the total market capitalisation crossed TZS 34 trillion. The banking sector index has been rallying. CRDB alone saw a 14.5% price recovery in one week.

This is not just about dividends. It’s about building wealth over time.

When you own shares in profitable companies, you benefit in two ways. First, you receive dividends. Second, your shares can grow in value. That’s how wealth is built.
